Steel Swarm: APOCALYPSE is an upcoming tank-battling MOBA that I'm pretty excited about for the huge battles and map destruction. And now the developer has revealed it's set to release in Early Access on June 24th.

I previously covered this one back in April, when they announced full Steam Deck support. Seems they're going a step further now, since they're also noting Linux support in the release announcement.

I like that it sounds quite different to other MOBAs. Instead of just a basic 5 v 5 with some AI minions in parts, there's a whole lot going on. Their focus is on a large-scale battlefield with over 100 minions per team, which is "per avenue" (lanes to battle through) resulting in there being thousands of units in each game. They say that "no other MOBA will compare" to the scale of this one.

The map destruction also looks like it could be fun as you reshape it as you go. You're in a tank, so you have a lot of firepower.
