Iron Gate AB have been cooking! Valheim: Call To Arms is the next major update to the popular survival game and it's available to test right now.

This was announced during Gamescom and it looks to be a pretty game-changing update. While the developers have previously expanded the overall content and added in new biomes, this pulls this back a bit to the more basic gameplay to expand what's possible with it. There's new combat mechanics, a new wearable trinkets system, a whole lot of new weapons and so much more.

An update on something besides late-game content I'll never get to see? What's this world coming to?

update sounds solid , tho i haven't touched it since it first launched on early access and i don't plan to till its 1.0 or at least they finish their intended biomes that were on time initial roadmap. my fiance has been eagerly awaiting for it cause i won't play it with him till its 'done' lol. what was there was solid but i rather focus on finished things these days

If i had to pick only one game of all out there, Valheim would be a strong candidate. It was the only game that re-created the magic of being drawn into a procedural generated world like minecraft did back then. Trying to get back your gear that you have worked so hard for after a team wipe with a few friends... sitting around a low-polygon campfire while planning for this, yggdrasil over our heads, strange noises from the near forest. I can´t wait to get back.
