A retro styled boomer shooter where you have a shotgun for an arm. Captain Wayne - Vacation Desperation is confirmed to launch on November 25th. The developer also mentions how it's half game, half cartoon as there's a whole lot of animated cutscenes to go along with the action.

More about it: "Stranded on Orca Isle after a brutal ambush, Wayne’s vacation plans have gone straight to Davy Jones’ locker. Now it’s all-out war against the ruthless mercenary gang known as the Killer Whales. From chain-gun fingers to explosive Boom Brew, fruity-but-deadly coconuts to bone-crunching fists, Wayne’s arsenal ensures the only thing deeper than the ocean will be the enemy body count."

With the release date announced, a brand new refreshed demo has also been released.

Game Highlights:

  • A brutal, stylized cartoon gore-fest, because who said bloodshed can’t be beautiful?
  • 8 massive, enemy-packed zones across treacherous Orca Isle.
  • An arsenal of absurdly over-the-top weapons, fine-tuned for maximum mayhem.
  • A relentlessly chaotic soundtrack, louder than a storm at sea.
  • Hand-drawn, fully-voiced cinematics that bring Wayne’s twisted quest to life.

While the demo only has a Windows build (runs with Proton), it seems the actual main store page does list Linux support and it's made with GZDoom. So either way, you'll be able to play this one on Linux systems.
