Thrive is an open source evolution sim that plans to add many different stages of life with the microbe stage now considered actually ready.

Still far from complete since they want to add 9 different stages but their main development effort will now begin moving onto multicellular which they estimate will take a year to finish. And, after that, they'll then move onto the macroscopic stage. Much like life itself, we're watching evolution happen here.

There's a bunch that's new with this release including new terrain textures, new events and various other smaller tweaks. Check out their new trailer below:

Thrive is entirely free and open source but you can buy it from stores to support the development. It has Native Linux support and Valve rated it Steam Deck Playable / SteamOS Compatible.
