Cleared Hot is an excellent nostalgic helicopter shooter, and the latest release brings Native Linux support to improve performance on Steam Deck.
While the main target for the performance upgrades were the Steam Deck, it should perform better everywhere thanks to all the improvements throughout the game. On the Steam Deck now, it should even hit 90FPS in areas of lower-action which is a big boost. There's also far less stuttering too.
Another big addition is the Arcade Mode which adds replayable extra content which they will keep expanding on. So far it includes:
- Survival Mode - Defend a building against waves of enemies
- Skee Ball - Use your rope to roll the ball up the ramp and into the holes
- Skeet Shooting - Shoot barrels mid-air
- Cooping Mechanism - A timed chicken rescue
- Mini Golf - Golf, but with missiles
- Uno Reverse - Destroy turrets by redirecting their own missiles
- Glass Cannon - Use walls for cover and destroy 3 challenging turrets

Can highly recommend this one. Wonderful game that gives me some real Desert Strike vibes. What a classic that is. This really modernises the classic idea from those retro helicopter shooters.
Is it repetitive?
