An auto-battling idle game where you build up an unstoppable dark army? Orc Incremental went right onto my wishlist and it's going to annihilate my time. I'm quite the sucker for simplicity when I want to relax, and this looks like it will fit nicely when I don't want to stress my brain.

In Orc Incremental, players command a growing army of dark fantasy units in an experience built around constant scaling and strategic refinement. New units and totems are acquired through card drafting, and each choice pushes the run in a different direction. Armies fight automatically, but success depends on how players build their composition, set formations, and use spells at key moments.

"The game started as a weekend project sort of thing. I told Victor, one of our programmers, “Hey you are always doing prototypes with shitty programmer art and I need to practice drawing, let's do something in like 3 days and we’ll put it on Steam for fun”. And then we kept adding more features and more art into it and a year went by. Then I decided to show it to Playsaurus, they thought it was addictive as hell, so we joined forces along the journey to release Orc Incremental as a full game.." - Velasco (Art and Programming)

Game Highlights:

  • Build and scale an orc army from a single grunt into a full warband.
  • Draft units and totems with different rarities, roles, and synergies.
  • Set formations and optimize army composition to break through progression walls.
  • Support battles with active spells such as Blizzard and Fireball.
  • Use Dark Rebirth to reset runs for permanent progression bonuses.
  • Unlock new units, challenges, and chieftain choices that change each run.
  • Benefit from offline progress and return to accumulated resources.
  • Face milestone bosses that test build quality and tactical planning.

Loving the top-down perspective, I feel it doesn't get much love lately!

It's got a very Warcraft 2 look to it.

This looks like a Warcraft 2 auto-battler and I think that's rad. I'm wishlisting it too.

The top-down perspective reminds me of the old DOS game [Siege](https://www.mobygames.com/game/5205/siege/) from the early 90s. Good memories! 😊 I still have a CD with it, I think... somewhere...
