Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Cursed Sands is a prologue to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, previously exclusive to consoles and now available on PC. One for fans of the true classics here.

The PC release comes available for single-player and cooperative versions of the original game, and as a DLC for RealRTCW, on Steam and GOG.

What exactly is it? From the RealRTCW post:

Cursed Sands is a prequel to original Return to Castle Wolfenstein campaign which was released only on Playstation 2 and original Xbox. It contains 7 levels set in Northern Egypt where B.J works with Agent 1 to try to assassinate Helga von Bulow and learn more about Nazi plans.

RTCW community waited decades for this addon to be released on PC. And now, thanks to united efforts of William Faure (author of Enemy Territory Single-Player & Co-Op and Dark Army) and garux (developer behind map editor netradiant-custom) this long awaited prequel is finally available on PC! On Steam it is available as free DLC for RealRTCW.

Going by the Mod DB post the single-player is out now, with the Mod DB files coming May 15th. The co-op support is coming May 30th for Steam / GOG and June 6th for the files on Mod DB.

Just be aware of the AI notice for RealRTCW directly:

AI upscaling is used for some of the textures
AI Voice Generation is used for some of the NPCs

OK but like, why though? RtCW and the prolouge episode are fully voiced, what would they have had to use AI voices for?

Decades old raster/bitmap filters are "AI" for years now... someone trying to sell equalizers, audio filters, voice synthesizers as "AI" to get that sweet sweet VC investment...?
