Based on a hit prototype game Tiny Towns that had over 100K views on itch.io, Combolands is a deckbuilder where cards are buildings and the map is your deck.
Coming from Crux Games, a two person South African studio run by Sam Alfred and Skye Scott. Sam is best known as the designer of the BAFTA-nominated Terra Nil. After the success of the demo Tiny Towns on itch.io, the team are working to turn it into a full game under the new name Combolands, with some extra help from Landfall (Haste, Content Warning, PEAK).
More about it: "Combolands is a deckbuilder where instead of a deck, you’re growing a town. Settle a series of handcrafted islands, carefully placing your buildings to unlock powerful synergies and trigger cascading combos. Return to the capital between runs and spend your earnings to unlock content – buildings, relics, bonuses, and more. Every run, hone your strategy with a variety of different guilds, each with unique strengths and drawbacks. See how far your city can grow in endless mode, and if you beat every island, keep playing with infinite procedurally generated levels"
