Valve just launched the latest exciting upgrade for Proton Experimental, to ensure as many Windows games as possible run well on Linux / SteamOS machines.
Proton Experimental is like their testing ground for future stable numbered version Proton updates (like the upcoming Proton 11 that's currently in Beta).
For the Proton Experimental update launched May 7th this game is noted to now be playable:
And then all the bug fixes:
- Fixed Helldivers 2 not launching after a recent game update - previously rolled out via Proton Hotfix.
- Fixed Rocket League not starting with non-English locales after a recent game update.
- Fixed Rocket League incorrectly detecting re-plugged DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers as an additional device.
- Fixed Proton 11 regressions:
- Crimson Desert should no longer starts in the corner of the screen when using GameScope.
- BattleBit Remastered is playable again.
- Assassin's Creed Shadows is playable again.
- The King of Fighters XIII Global Match should no longer leak memory.
- Resident Evil 2 should no longer have issue with using low resolution full screen mode on high resolution screens on certain setups.
- Arma 3 workshop mods should no longer unnecessarily update on each launch.
- Terraria should no longer perform worse than on Proton 10.

You can install any version of Proton by just searching for "Proton" in your Steam Library. If you already have them installed, they will just show up as updates in your Steam Downloads.
If you missed the news about Rocket League recently, Psyonix (Epic Games) added Easy Anti-Cheat but it continues working great on Linux as they're supporting it. There was also a big VKD3D-Proton update to further improve Valve's Direct3D 12 -> Vulkan translation for Proton to make as many new games run as smoothly as possible.
