Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II from Bulwark Studios and Kasedo Games now has a release date set for May 21st with a new dev video.
Following on from the rather good original game, Mechanicus II features fast-paced turn-based tactical combat and strategic management. You'll be able to take control of either the ancient and deathless Necron legions or the techno-religious acolytes of the Omnissiah, with the fate of a world in your hands.
The launch date was revealed via the second in an ongoing video series highlighting two deployable leaders, one each for the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Necrons, offering an in-depth look at their playstyles, abilities and strategic roles within the unfolding conflict. The latest video focuses on the returning Lector-Dogmatis Videx, the orthodox voice of the Omnissiah, and Obasis, the Necron Lord known as ‘The Shield’.

The developer said that there will be various new environmental mechanics that will require you to manoeuvre your forces "like never before and play to their chosen faction’s strengths and weaknesses – take cover behind terrain as the Mechanicus, or destroy it as the Necrons".
At release it will be priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99.
