Computex 2026 has begun and AMD have revealed multiple new bits of hardware - so here's what you need to know.
Firstly, for those potentially looking to upgrade, AMD have announced their long-term commitment to socket AM5 through 2029. Along with the launch of the new 3D V-Cache chip the Ryzen 7 7700X3D, which will be available starting July 16, 2026 at $329. With eight cores, 104MB of total cache, and boost speeds of up to 4.5GHz at 120W TDP.
A new graphics card was also announced with the global launch of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE. A new addition to their mid-range gaming options for 1440p powered by the AMD RDNA 4 architecture. It will be available globally beginning June 1, 2026, at $549.
For socket AM4 they also re-launched the Ryzen 7 5800X3D with a new 10th Anniversary Edition that will arrive June 25, 2026 at $349 which comes bundled with a Carbice Ice Pad.
On top of that they also teased AMD EXPO "Ultra Low Latency" advancing AMD EXPO with automatic memory overclocking, offering gamers "an additional 4% FPS versus non-ULL EXPO memory from leading memory partners". They said to expect these new memory kits starting June 2026.
“We’re committed to giving gamers high-performance technologies with the flexibility to upgrade their systems over time. Ultimately, our goal is to deliver unmatched ownership experiences for players around the world,” said David McAfee, corporate vice president and general manager, Client Channel and Graphics Business, AMD.

In the new market, things are changing now but it will take awhile to trickle into the used market.
