Check out what anti-cheat enabled games work on Linux / SteamOS on our dedicated anti-cheat compatibility page.

Apidya' Special is an authentic 24-bit pixel remake of the 1992 Amiga classic shoot 'em up. Nice to see more retro games from my own childhood make a return like this. We're not just getting the classic game made to work on modern platforms though, as it will come with a few optional enhancements and some optional filters too.

Originally released as one of the most distinctive shoot-'em-ups of the 16-bit era, Apidya earned cult status through its unique insect-themed fantasy world, challenging gameplay, and unforgettable soundtrack. Apidya’ Special brings this legendary experience to modern platforms while preserving the spirit that made the original a fan favourite.

Nice, I've always had a thing for shooters with organic themes - apart from Apidya I also have fond memories of Agony and Wings of Death (yeah, it probably sounds weirder than I intended, lol).

Didn't this release as Insector X on the Genesis back in the day?
