One missed from last week is The Lost Wild, a terrifying game that will probably make me need a fresh set of pants after playing it. A bit like a modern blend of Dino Crisis meets Alien Isolation with Jurassic Park all mashed into one great looking survival horror.
This was actually announced during State of Play June 2026. There's too many events to keep up with. Coming from publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Great Ape Games. A slow-burn experience that's all about keeping your eyes on the bushes, the water - everything, as danger could be lurking anywhere. The Lost Wild has you play as Saskia, while you explore a mysterious overgrown island. Much like Alien Isolation, it's a game of cat and mouse as you try to escape using non-lethal tools.
Anyway, here's the trailer below:

Survive
Move carefully and elude predators hunting you down. Create distractions and use your environment to your advantage. Make use of items you’ve discovered to give yourself options in each encounter. Outmaneuver, run, and if all else fails, hide.
A Mystery to Unravel
Play as Saskia who wakes up on a mysterious island teeming with prehistoric creatures. Hunted by dinosaurs, Saskia must find a way to survive while uncovering the mysteries of the island and her place within it.
It's not due out until 2027, but might have just become one of my most-wanted games for a while. The great visual style, along with a pretty impressive seeming atmosphere from the trailer has me wanting it right now.
