Today should be a good day for you nostalgia lovers, because Shovel Knight has been released for Linux! Shovel Knight is a charming NES-Inspired platformer that was funded on Kickstarter and release for Windows back in June. The game has received a lot of critical praise; being described as a love letter to old school platformers.
We only introduced you to Hearthlands a few days ago, but it already has a whopper of an update release to make it even more interesting. Hearthlands is a game much like Settlers, Majesty and Pharaoh.
Hearthlands is my latest little discovery and even though it's in the early stages it looks really promising. Hearthlands plays out much like the Majesty & Settlers strategy games that puts the focus on buildings, resources, heroes and other things a King needs to watch over, so you don't control your units directly.
Making the rounds at the moment is the fact that Wasteland 2 is selling very well. Well that's a shocker isn't it!
Cannon Brawl has just been released for Linux and quite rightfully deserves a write up, as it's really quite fun.
Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut is the standalone and reworked version of Shadowrun: Dragonfall with new missions, a revamped combat system and more.
Hammerwatch is a pretty good-looking hack & slash dungeon crawling action game that has just been updated to include a free expansion!
A brand new Humble Weekly Bundle is out and 5 out the 7 games support Linux. One of them is a pretty recent port too.
The third and final instalment in the popular puzzle game series launches today, DRM free and on Steam.
Appointment With F.E.A.R. is a rather interesting looking mix of comic, adventure and visual novel all in one fancy looking package.
Braid is finally set to have the already released Linux version of the hit indie game on Steam, so that's another one down. UPDATED: It's now up.
The Journey Down has returned to our Linux gaming boxes with the promise of more pointing and clicking.
Sentris is a new kind of music game that puts you at the epicenter of musical creation. It's colourful and filled with great music, so what more could you want?
Micron has been out for Linux for a little while, but it hasn't seemed to gain a big following. Hopefully this new and updated Steam release will fix that.
The Makers Eden is a very interesting adventure game and the first time I've ever played a game like it. It's good, but not for those of you with little patience.
Gods Will Be Watching is a game that is quite hard to describe, and it's bloody hard as well. It's a pixel art point and click adventure game where you need to be quite brutal.
Unrest is an adventure RPG that adapts to death, failure, and the choices you make. Play as ordinary people struggling for food, safety, freedom, and a chance at peace. Explore an ancient Indian city using conversation, manipulation and (rarely) violence.
Back yonder in the days of yore, I poured hour after hour into my Tony Hawk games on the PS2. It was a catharsis long forgotten until now. Roll7 brings me back a bit with their title OlliOlli: a 2d retro skate-em-up. Unlike the skating games I used to play, OlliOlli drops world exploration for a more arcade-like experience focusing on keeping your combos up and your speed high.
Sokobond is an interesting take on the puzzle genre that involves science, and it looks rather nice.
Exciting news readers! Halfway the beautiful looking science fiction space strategy game is going to be released this month, and they have a shiny website for the game now.
