Project Zomboid is one of my favourite indie games, while I haven't set aside a lot of time for it, it has a place at the top of my heart.

In a very surprising turn of events it appears that winter has arrived in Finland and I think that calls for a very specific type of a game. Enter The Long Dark, a survival game set in the cold, dark forests of Canada.

I'm not a big survival fan, but even I think Hurtworld looks pretty damned good. Hurtworld is a hardcore multiplayer survival FPS with a focus on deep survival progression that doesn't become trivial once you establish some basic needs.

Sheltered is one indie game I think will become pretty big, and their new update and video shows why I think this.

The Last NightMary - A Lenda do Cabeça de Cuia is an interesting hybrid of a point and click game with survival elements, has nice artwork too.

I’ve been meaning to try out Sheltered for a while, and this Sunday I decided to sit down and give it a go. I'm finding it to be quite a bit like This War of Mine, and it’s just as interesting. The game is currently in Early Access, but I've seen people already put tons and tons of hours into it.

It's been a few months, but 11bit finally fixed up This War of Mine for newer Linux distributions. Previously it wouldn't launch due to a glibc issue which has now been fixed.

Noct is a game I'm really excited about trying, as it's a pretty unique take on the survival genre and it looks freaky. It is going to officially release on November 22nd.

It's not often a game can make me stand by and go "wow", but the new Starbound update and trailer has made me do just that.

We've been pretty patient waiting for Contagion to come to Linux, and we haven't been forgotten about. The developers will be visiting Valve this year to speak about it.
