I managed to get hold of the Contagion developers, and they confirmed the Linux port is still planned! We haven’t heard from them about it since June last year, so it’s good to see it hasn't been forgotten.

Dying Light is due to get a massive patch next week which should have the performance fixes we have been waiting on, a load of free content, and a new DLC too.

Techland have release a bigger patch this time around to fix lots of issues, but the game is still damn awful on Linux.

I have to hand it to Techland, they have been responsive to my many requests, and this new patch is proof of their work on Dying Light.

So... Dying Light. A triple A day one Linux port. Now that would sound awesome but sadly releasing games in a horrible state is trendy and Techland seems to have wanted a piece of that cake. Let's list the problems, shall we?

Dying Light is now confirmed for Linux thanks to the announcement from the developers on the Steam store itself. The Linux icons show up on the store pages, and the game even has a steam coming soon banner on the home-page. Time to get seriously excited.

Zombie games can be usually placed into one of two categories, survival and gore-fest. You either attempt to survive the day to day life or you chop large hordes of zombies into pieces. Project Zomboid takes the survival route.

Project Zomboid is the fantastic zombie survival game that you can play in single-player, co-op, or online with other survivors. Myself and Samsai have really been getting into it, and a massive update was released.

While the announcement that Killing Floor 2 will release for PS4 won't excite many; the actual trailer will. It will be mostly the same for PC and PS4, so be sure to take a look.

It has been a bumpy ride, and that's putting it nicely, but 7 Days To Die is finally on Linux for us to enjoy some zombie smashing.

Dead Island is the latest zombie game to grace Linux with its presence and helps build up our backlog of games.

We recently had a chance to speak to Techland the original developers of the Dead Island series, but they have confirmed they are no longer involved with it.

Keeping track of the Linux port of Dead Island shows that the developers are working pretty hard on it.

Dean Hall the creator of DayZ originally mentioned on reddit his interest in getting a Linux version, and he was also caught on video mentioning it at PAX.

7 Days To Die has been a bit of an up and down saga for Linux, but with new information it may finally come soon. UPDATED.

DayZ is the massively popular open world zombie survival game that re-started the genre for a lot of people, and it looks like the developer wants to bring it to Linux.

Time to get excited again Linux gamers! Dead Island has some little hints that it will be coming to Linux! Yes it's another Zombie game, but it's a bit different.

Storm is a fast-paced, 2d side-scrolling multiplayer action game largely based on Soldat. It is Linux native too.
