PULSAR: Lost Colony is a co-op starship simulation game where you and some friends can assume specific roles on your very own ship, it's a very cool idea and their latest content update is out. I've played it on and off and it very much speaks to my inner Star Trek nerd, being a captain of my own ship and being able to order friends about is pretty amusing.

If you thought space was a vast empty wasteland, you would be wrong. As of this latest update, there's now roaming Bandit Drones that will attack literally anything they come across. Leafy Games have also tweaked neutral space to be more dangerous overall. You can expect to get into combat a fair bit more, so prepare to go to red alert (that's actually a thing you do in the game!).

There's 8 new bounty missions, 9 NPCs added to the Grey Huntsmen Bounty Agency, 5 NPCs have been added to Planet Crash 2 (planet with blue sand and crashed W.D. security drone) along with two more normal missions. With all that, there's quite a bit more to actually do in the game. This is all something I've been holding out for before diving in and playing it through in full, this is one of those games that I'm extremely excited about, but I want the full content.

They've also improved the in-game manual for whenever you're lost, to give you information on Ship Cloaking, Ship Sensor Dish, Item and Component Upgrade Stations and more.

Also announced, is that their next update is going to include more gameplay content, with a new faction mission chain that will have you explore the "Wasted Wing" (a section of Outpost 448 that was recently severed from the main station for mysterious reasons). They've also been experimenting with new "networking solutions" to hopefully improve online play.

You can grab it from Humble Store and Steam.

I've been following Leafy for years - they do great updates on Youtube. But I hope they incorporate a tutorial soon. I played a bit of single-player as Captain and called in bots for the vacant roles and I had literally no idea what was going on half (most of, really) the time! It didn't end well... :D

When Humble says DRM free that means they offer a non-Steam download?

Get some friends and beers together.
Samsai invited me to play on one of his streams and it could not have gone more hilariously wrong. :D

I bought it quite some time ago but still haven't managed to play it as nobody played it online and my friends do not have this game. I wished there was an option for bots as crew members, don't know if its still not a thing or maybe people now playing it so i can jump into online.
