Graveyard Keeper has a free Breaking Dead update allowing some automation

By - | Views: 6,110

If there's one thing I didn't like about Graveyard Keeper is all the constant manual labour. Well, not so much now as you will be able to resurrect bodies to do your bidding.

A minor point, but they're claiming it's a "DLC". I've seen more developers and publishers muddle the DLC term lately, with some claiming free update patches are a "free DLC". Strange, but still technically true since it's content you download so whatever.

Here's what the Breaking Dead update adds:

  • Added "Breaking Dead" content: zombie workers (craft automation), zombie couriers. New related questline, new crafts. Possibility to sell crates of different goods and earn money.
  • Added the toolbelt (now your tools/equip are stored in a different set of slots, so the inventory space is increased).
  • Added the meditation (garden of stones) to fast-forward time.
  • Many minor fixes/improvements. For example, game now pauses when you open the chest, etc.

This does actually make the game quite a bit more interesting and slightly more amusing too. I hope they keep adding to it with sweet free features like this! They've supported it pretty well since release, with constant improvements and bug fixes flowing in to make it a much better game compared to the original release.

Find it on Humble Store, GOG and Steam.

And see a very interesting article about how they created graphics effects in the game:
