Minecraft 1.9, Monster RPG on Gameolith and more!

Posted by , | Views: 1,581
Well folks a few items to cover and as to not spam our site with lots of posts (and twitter) I thought i would start doing bigger news items...

Minecraft
First up is Minecraft 1.9 which is now confirmed as to be the official "1.0" gold release which will be released at Minecon next month.

They have added rather A LOT for the Minecraft 1.9 release including a whole new dimension with....Dragons, woo!

Jeb has also released the fith release candidate for Minecraft 1.9 which you can download client files here and server files here. Check and report bugs here (please do, let's make it a good release!).

Monster RPG 2 on Gameolith
Monster RPG 2 has hit the shelves of Gameolith for multi-platform Linux goodness, seems like a pretty polished game and a worthy addition to peoples RPG libraries. I tried the game out some time ago when the developer sent me a copy to have a look over, it's worth the very small outlay ($2.99!).

Steel Storm hits the Japanese markets!
While not an audience we tend to cater much for here at GOL (i don't speak a word of Japanese!) the smash hit indie game Steel Storm has entered the Japanese market here.

Website Updates
Not all that interesting but after testing out the mobile site I built for us...it turns out it didn't actually work as I messed up the CSS so everything got squashed, that has been fixed and it now actually works, the styling was adjusted a bit to work better too, it now looks good-ish on phones (I'm not an artist!).

Also in a month or so i will probably upgrade the websites Xenforo software as they are in the fourth beta of the next stable release which adds lots of cool new features for us, stay tuned :D
