Rocket League will be on SteamOS & Linux before the Xbox One in February

Good news Rocket League fans, as it seems the game will be out on SteamOS & Linux before the Xbox One version, and it's looking like it will be end of January to early February.

I'm happy to say I was wrong about it, as initially I thought the Xbox One version delayed it, but then Valve made comments about it directly and it being them holding it up. Now we have a developer on reddit saying this:
QuoteMac version was delayed along with SteamOS release (not because of Xbox One, we have different teams helping with each version). It will still happen early this year and before Xbox One release in February, though we don't have an exact date yet.

They also tweeted this:

@BenjaminArd Mac is not 100% this year, but likely not.

Upcoming order: SteamOS -> Mac -> XB1

Stuff like this makes me happy, so let's hope there isn't another delay eh! Article taken from

This game always reminds me of this old map from halo 2 killtrocity mod :

(I couldn't find any other video of it, sorry).
Looking forward to it

I got this with the Steam Controller order (like many I guess), so I'm looking forward to finally hittin' some ball around! According to Steamspy there's more than 2 million copies sold, so the game is huge.

How very nice to see that we have priority over both Mac and consoles for this release.

Fantastic news.
It was a tie between this game and Xcom2 for my most anticipated 2016 release, but I ended up on this one simply because of the significance in the gaming world right now. This game is all the rage.

So I'll unreservedly bask in this glorious moment of taste of what the future may hold when our platform gains some serious market share. The day when this is the norm can not come fast enough.
