The GPD Win handheld computer.

OK I have looking at getting the GPD Win Handheld notebook and installing Manjaro Linux on it. Andy else thinking of doing the same?

And I found these two threads that say Linux can be installed on it as it is a standard PC.

I was looking at the Pyra, but the GPD is x8 so I can install any distro I want and be able to play some Steam and GOG.com games on it.

Sorry I forgot to post the two threads mention. Typos...

And GPD's Facebook page has some videos of playing a few games on this as well:

So no one else is curious about this device?

Yeah I've been looking at it. I was waiting for a long time before for the Dragonbox Pyra but this one seems interesting. IIRC it'll come cheaper and probably has better performance, but possibly worse battery life? The keyboard layout isn't the best and I'm wondering about how it'll work with Linux, your links seem to say it does but I hope it doesn't involve any binary blobs or only half-assed support.

Too bad it only has 4 GB of memory and 64GB of storage. If I get this I most likely try to install Linux to a MicroSD card first so I don't void the warranty. I would also prefer a removable rechargeable battery like the DragonBox Pyra has.

Well I suppose one can't have everything.
