Never before has a game seemed so perfectly designed to try and make me give up before finishing it. :|

To put this into perspective, I found the Hard Times DLC for Rochard less frustrating than Glare, and that was designed to test even the most seasoned of players.

First impressions of Ravensword: Shadowlands are very mixed for me. The creature designs and the graphics in general are fantastic, but every single other element of the game seems intent on overwhelming it in awfulness and mediocrity.
The voice acting and the sound design are quite frankly terrible, the writing is flat and uninspired, a lot of the animations hamper the quality of the models, and the gameplay offers up very few chances for individual agency. The game world itself also seems very static and in general unresponsive. It really does seem more like an Early Access title than a finished product.
Still, the main reason I got it was so that I could have some conception of the type of game that this Skyrim thingy is that the kids are all playing these days, so I guess it works for me from that perspective...
