Firstly, the Support Us page had a small revamp. It’s a little more compact, to show everyone on it across different tiers and allows us to do a bit more with it. We will also be adding a checkbox soon if you would rather not be displayed there, but still have the supporter tag and features :). Remember, if you want to have your website or something linked there, you can add it in the UserCP at the top.
If you sub to us with at least $4 a month, but don't see yourself having the Supporter tag on the site, you can now add in your Patreon/Paypal email in a separate field in the UserCP Email section, so that we can actually match your accounts together.
I would like to offer everyone that supports us more fun features, so if you have an idea, do let us know any time. As long as it doesn’t lock-out non-supporters from essential stuff, it’s all good to suggest.
Additionally, one of the next steps we’re going through is a small revamp of our GOTY (Game of the year) system, to get it ready for the next one. We will likely open it up for game nominations soon, once local testing shows it working well. One major change over previous years, is that you don’t enter a game in manually, now you enter a name and it auto-suggests titles from our database. This way we can ensure all games are titled correctly, so there’s less hassle between people submitting games spelt slightly differently, so titles can’t creep in more than once.
Of course, this is all in addition to near-daily articles we provide for you, livestreams, free games page, sales page and more. And yes, we do still plan a Podcast, likely once things calm down after December.
Until the next update, have a good weekend!
