Looked pretty relaxing and couldn't remember having seen it before.

I have been playing a lot of Slay The Spire in recent weeks. (Over 30 hours so far.) It is a game you can take your time over, and play with just one hand on the mouse. I've been playing it at work, while eating my lunch. Also, for 30 minute sessions here and there.

I did wonder if it would be addictive and replayable like my experience with FTL. Happy to say that it does fill that niche quite well. Plays as good as a full release, even though it is still Early Access. Even more content should come (playing with a third different character) once the full game is released. Each different character reminds me of the different spaceships you unlock in FTL. And the Cards are similar to the FTL ship load-out.

Each play-through is very different due to the different types of cards you come across (and then choose which ones you want to add to your set.) Also the different types of Relics and Potions too. For instance, you can have a set of cards where you're favouring Poison as a way to deal with the monsters. Or another set of cards, where you're favouring Defence, blocking damage while chipping away at the enemy.

This game didn't p*ss me off like Darkest Dungeon did.
