I am not that much interested, as I already have a huge backlog in steam and drm-free but I just read this:

Correction: An earlier version of this article implied that Epic Games was hiring explicitly to get the store running under Linux, which is incorrect.

Linux is still not even on their roadmap.

They just would like to see their store run well in Wine but without having to do any real work to port the software.

At least Epic Store works in Wine now but you have to perform a workaround to get the embedded web pages to stop flickering in the client.
