How to install Hollow Knight: Silksong mods on Linux, SteamOS and Steam Deck
No it isn't, it's just you didn't install needed 32 bits libraries.
I updated the package with additional libraries, could you please redownload and retest?
Package updated with the libsndio library.
Package updated with libwayland-egl.so.1.

I will try to compile a static build.
today DevilutionX 64 bits is finally promote "stable":
https://github.com/diasurgical/devilutionX/commit/c52464d2278660cbfe6c23ea48d31d82882d205b
So I wrote a Lutris Script which "automagically" install Diablo Gog version with the last DevilutionX 64 bits version.
You will find it here:
https://lutris.net/games/diablo/
installer name:
Linux GOG + DevilutionX Linux 64 bits version
- Dependencies: You have to install libsdl2-2.0-0, libsdl2-ttf-2.0-0, libsdl2-mixer-2.0-0 libraries.
- Please report issue concerning this script on my github page:
https://github.com/legluondunet/MyLittleLutrisScripts/tree/master/Diablo
https://github.com/legluondunet/MyLittleLutrisScripts/raw/master/Diablo/devilutionx-linux-64.zip
It is the last DevilutionX 64 bits version recently promute to stable and compiled by myself.
It's the one I use for my Lutris installer.
Other thing: your 32 bits build didn't launch with this error message:
Try this command line:
sudo apt-get install libsdl2-2.0-0:i386 libsdl2-ttf-2.0-0:i386 libsdl2-mixer-2.0-0:i386 libsodium23:i386
you installed 64 bits libraries packages but you need the 32 bits libraries version too.

this is a new 64 bits build compiled on Ubuntu 18.04 with glibc27. I launched it on Ubuntu 19.04 it worked.
Could you test it?

- DevilutionX Windows + Wine (very annoying sound garbled)
- DevilutionX 32 bits
For the moment DevilutionX is an original Diablo experience. Later the devs will implement graphic features (scale, widescreen) and possibility to mod like Belzebuth or Tchernobog mods.
Like said Dedale, the game well aged and I had a lot of fun to play it hours recently.
Original experience is exactly what I'm after.
^_^
thank you for your contribution, more sources, more users could test this very nice Diablo port.
From my side, I updated my build with last today's git:
https://github.com/legluondunet/MyLittleLutrisScripts/raw/master/Diablo/devilutionx-linux-64.zip
In this new release, there is an important issue resolved: no more echoes/multiple voice.
I tested my build on:
- Ubuntu 18.04 OK
- Ubuntu 19.04 OK
- Debian 10 stable OK
- Arch stable OK
I'm curious to know if it works on others Linux distributions.
Avehicle my build is not Debian 9 compatible?
