results from some of my testing:

some system specs:
AMD 8320 FX 3.5GHz 8core cpu
24GB DDR3 Ram
1TB Intel 760p PCIE NVME 2280 NGFF SSD contained in an Asrock PCIE x16 ULTRA QUAD M.2 card(boot drive)
6TB raid 0 array(12x Intel 545s 512GB SSDs) controlled by an Areca 1231-ML PCIE x8 SATA II RAID HBA w/ 2GB DDR 2 RAM(800 MHz IO processor)
EVGA NVIDIA 2060 6GB GPU with driver 430.09

most games run from the 6TB array.

Wine-Staging 4.7 with d9vk-master.8a5039a0b26544794537ab47799bdf1ee8054db8:

Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD: runs OOTB. played for about 10mins with no issues

Battle for Middle Earth II: starts up, DXVK HUD displays, but only a black screen. have to kill via terminal command.

Blur still starts to a white screen and requires killing via terminal.

Steam Proton with same D9VK:

Bad Rats: starts and displays DXVK HUD, but displays a white screen same as Blur

Arcanum: starts but i cannot confirm if it is using d9vk as it is started via a launcher and the DXVK_HUD variable doesn't seem to get passed to the exe. game also stopped responding at the menu.

Flatout: Launches, dxvk hud is displayed, but only a black screen. i can hear audio tho...

Flatout 2: starts, but nothing is displayed until i either switch to another open application, or drop down the yakuake terminal console and it then errors out with an error about being unable to create a shader. (Failed to create effect: data/shader/pro_static2x.sha) UPDATE: this only seems to happen with the steam version of Flatout 2. The GOG version runs wonderfully with D9VK. UPDATE.02: after running WINEPREFIX=/media/$USER/1504d0ce-0d46-4b86-84f8-4822998bffcf/steamapps/compatdata/2990/pfx ./setup_dxvk.sh install to install d9vk directly into the proton wineprefix, FlatOut 2 launches to a black screen. i also noticed a difference between the GOG and steam version installs: Steam's install includes a d3dx9_30.dll (which i moved to try and force d9vk) in the game's install root that the GOG version doesn't include. i also noticed that steam's FlatOut2.exe is only 1.0MB in size while GOG's is 2.9MB in size. However, copying the GOG exe to the steam version's install root still results in the same behaviour: black screen.....UPDATE.03: installation of the latest d9vk into the game's wineprefix and leaving the D3D9 dll in the install directory now launches FlatOut2, however, black screen, DXVK_HUD displays, and there is audio....the d9vk log shows:

warn: DxsoCompiler::processInstruction: unhandled opcode: M4x4
warn: DxsoCompiler::processInstruction: unhandled opcode: M3x3
warn: Shader without Position output. Something is likely wrong here.

which was supposed to be fixed a couple of versions ago i believe...

Age Of Wonders III: starts up, displays d9vk hud, loads the splash screens, and crashes.

that's all for now....it's late, i'm tired and i'm headed to bed.

maybe update with some more another time.

Guild Wars 2 now runs almost flawlessly with D9VK, only very little issues remain. Today I tested it on Intel HD and the performance improvements are also quite noticeable on low end hardware.
