Quoting: axredneck@mrdeathjr, can you please describe in words in your posts what doesn't work and what works bad next time(s)? Watching all your videos is very time-consuming.
Yup.
Churning out video after video with very little gameplay and no description just makes it seem like he is trying to up his view count.
I hope that isn't the case though.
Hi

As axredneck ask, i can offer this because each user stay interested in selected titles

When need more information about selected title, can leave your question in video comments or in this section and i can give more information

Finally had a chance to try out DiRT 1 for myself. The game ran fine however as I feared, it carries with it the same curse as the original Race Driver GRID, in that they both hit the 4GB Virtual Address Space rather easily and crash. D9VK itself is doing a fine job though, didn't notice any graphic issues.

In my case dont affect because use lower resolution but in higher resolutions virtual memory problems appears (maybe LAA patch can help you)

However LAA patch dont solve complete this issue until wine devs work in definitive solution for virtual memory (maybe with mmap)

The last time I played this title, I couldn't get the cut scenes to play. The work around was to
us a 32-bit prefix since the 64-bit version of the WMP10 winetricks verb doesn't work.

The postings above seem to suggest that Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones run just perfectly with D9VK. That is not the case, they work only when certain setting are not set. Lego Star Wars wants you to either disable "Special Effects" or Shadows for D9VVK. Lego Indiana Jones needs "Special Effects" disabled or "Shadow/Depth of field" disabled. Performance is perfect. Nonetheless D9VK progresses very nicely!

@mreathjr, to be honest I think it quite useless to post random video/screenshots of various games without any context what works or what doesn't work. Repeating your system configuration every time that exhausting is kind of overkill too. My opinion.

Anyone tried Deadfall Adventures?
The performance of the Linux port is very bad against the game running on Windows.

@mrdeathjr, what's your setup?
I've been trying to run Dragon Dogma on Manajro via Lutris and I've been getting low performance. 23 fps whenever trees in the distance are rendering.
I tried d9vk as a dxvk lutris package but the game crashes after the intro screens. From what I found online, mesa 19.1 is required for AMD cards. Looking forward to stable mesa 19.1 to reach the repos. :)

I'd like to expand a bit about the Large Address Aware that @mrdeathjr mentioned in some of his posts and may have been overlooked.

As some of you know, 32bit games tend to crash on Wine due to running out of Virtual Memory (not to be confused with System Memory). While this issue is also present on Windows, on Linux it is more affected due to the way the 2 OS's handle memory management.

To remedy these crashes on Windows, people changed a flag in the executables which allowed the games to use 4GB instead of 2GB. Just as on Windows, this method also helps greatly on Wine. I found a tool which can easily patch the exes on this thread (dates back to 2010): https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/large-address-aware.112556/ - All you need to run this tool is Wine with Mono and it's pretty straightforward to use: Browse to the exe file > Tick the checkbox to enable LAA and Save.

I've patched a few games and monitored their Virtual Memory usage, which went from around 3.6GB down to 2.5GB. Considering those games crash at 4GB they were inching close to the edge. Also be aware that this is not a magic bullet for all games, it works on a lot of games but not all of them.

Below I've made a list of all the games I tried it with and are now no longer crashing:

Colin McRae DiRT (1st game from 2006) - Max Details, with D9VK.
Racer Driver GRID (1st game from 2007) - Max Details, with D9VK.
Titan Quest Anniversary - Max Details, with D9VK.
Legend of Grimrock 2 - Max Details, with WineD3D 2.2GB / D9VK 2.9GB but stable.

These games do not crash but get very close:

Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Tomb Raider: Legend
Tomb Raider: Underworld

I've originally knew about this back in the Win7 heydays and every time I tried to resolve the crashing issues somehow I never came across to trying this on Linux, until someone on Youtube suggested me to apply it to Titan Quest.
