I wonder if they have any interest in porting this over to Linux now? At the very least, this should run great in Wine.

Nice find :)

I've always been on the fence whether I should buy this, with this change I just might.

The instructions to switch to the Beta channels for GOG appear to be the following:

-- though this requires using Galaxy; which I haven't tried under wine at all.

It seems to work well most of the time. I installed it for Shadow Warrior 2 multiplayer.

okay. not a bad move. I pre-ordered it and...you know the rest. They've come a long way. While that was a time where I had dual-boot, this isn't the case anymore. It'd be nice to surf the universe and explore it with good ol' tux.

I tested it earlier on Steam with latest Proton, terrible performance totally unplayable. Hope the issue causing it is found soon since they're taking out OpenGL.

It was OpenGL before. The porting situation hasn't changed at all. And because it was OpenGL, it always ran great in Wine.

AMD gpus did have a hard time in the beginning with mesa unable to render the game and amdgpu-pro having issues with ingame overlay (eg. corrupted dialoge display)

But from what i can tell(since mesa 18.3.somerhing I guess) it was running without major issues and good performance. Might give the vulkan beta a short test in the coming days.

Reports suggest it's an NVidia specific issue. AMD users seem to be having a smooth ride.

Is this Linux specific or on Windows as well?
