I played through that game last year, and was honestly not really impressed. It felt like a game that would have been pretty sweet 15 years ago. Now, it is boring to me. It was too much on rails I think.

Added the affiliate link, thanks for the offer.

For future reference, you can just add "?pp=b2a10a6c3dcadb10c8ffd734c1bab896d55cf0ec" without quotes to any GOG link for GOL affiliate revenue help :)

Another Virtual Programming mess up with not releasing it on GOG? Looks like VP went the way of Feral and became DRM only.

It would be nice to know why the Linux versions do not get released on GOG. With it being more than one company, and VP releasing some of the games they port DRM free on their store I would think it has to do with the contracts they sign when they do the ports.

How do you know? Is it still the case?
I'm not sure because I can't find any information about this on the web.

They provide DRM-free downloads? The only game they have on GOG is The Witcher 2 as far as I know. And that's only because CD Projekt Red made them release it there.

https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/overlord-and-overlord-raising-hell-released-for-linux-some-thoughts-and-a-port-report.7694 According to the port report it was DRM free on their store. When you go to https://www.deliver2.com it does not show steam required, and the port came to steam at a later date. https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/overlord-overlord-raising-hell-and-overlord-ii-new-port-released-on-steam-for-linux.7727

That's why I wonder if it is not a GOG/contract issue. VP have 3 games for sale on their website that are DRM free. Aspyr ported Mafia III to mac but there is no mac version on GOG, but other Aspyr published games are on GOG. It may have less to do with porting companies and more to do with contracts. I very much doubt they would be able to let us know.
