I'd say the Linux kernel changelogs are the most reliable source you can ask for. Plenty of navi-related amdgpu/radeon fixes since Linux 5.4 shipped by Ubuntu 20.04. But all I really suggested was that if you still have problems after switching back to the open source driver, you will most likely see them fixed by upgrading the kernel.

I'd say, if you don't want to use the latest kernel don't ask for support for driver issues and just deal with them. Because all you'll hear - use the latest kernel :)
