Finally, someone has fulfilled -- at least for Firefox & Chrome -- neovim's promise of embedding client windows inside any type of text box. I'm writing this post right now on a neovim instance running inside the new topic text box on the GoL forums, on Firefox. (Haven't tested yet on Chromium.)

This is quite new, of course; and I think I'd be a bit more comfortable if it were running inside a sandbox; but nevertheless, for vim lovers everywhere, this could well be the end of half functional emulation extensions.

Interesting. For those who didn't read. neovim has remote UI API, that can be accessed through the IPC. Browser add-on serves as a frontend for it, extending text input controls into rich editors.

I'm happy enough with qutebrowser's pop-out to editor for this, but having the editor embedded in the browser would be pretty cool!
