The thing that pisses me off about anti-cheat now is that it is lazy by offloading to the end user what should be done on the server. For a couple decades MMORPGs have successfully provided server side anti-cheat. The industry pulled a fast one on us by shifting that load off of the studio/publisher and back onto the end user.

Looks like an update is coming, with a) Denuvo Anti-Cheat being removed again and b) future versions of DAC shall work directly with Proton. That's pretty nice.
