Because I use gamemode and appreciate what it can do for linux gamers, I am giving a shout out to Jonathan Carter for improving accessibility to gamemode (includes version 1.6) for debian users (including buster, which is the stable). I use debian with backports repository (for more recent kernel) and appreciate the ability to install gamemode from a common debian repository.

Note: Because debian backports repository is not part of debian stable, installing packages from backports could result in instability for some hardware configurations.

I watch his Debian package of the day series, it's awesome!

P.S. I was also one of the earliest gamemode testers, I used it on Mint back when you had to compile it :)
