[steam] Logged out every time I close it
Tom B Jan 16, 2022
I've recently switched from KDE to a more lightweight desktop envrionment (Wayfire). However, every time I close steam and reopen it I have to log in again (and enter my 2fa steam guard code).

The remember password option must use kdewallet, gnome-keyring, etc. Does anyone know what service I need to have set up to stay logged in to steam?

VPN user by any chance? If valve detect you're coming from another country than the previous login or that if your IP address is associated with too many accounts it will often log you out and force a re-login.

At least, that's why it does it to me... it's been doing it for years for me though.
