I am trying to use the Hyper 'HyperDrive GEN2' (18-port version) with my ASUS ZenBook Duo UX481FL, but only some of the ports (on the HyperDrive GEN2) are functional, when this hub is connected to my laptop via USB Type-C... For example, all of the USB Type-A ports and the Micro SD card reader work fine, but the HDMI Type A ports do not.

When I used to run Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, it was the same issue; I was just too lazy to do anything about it, plus all the ports I had a need for at the time worked fine.
I suspect that the first thing to do would be to identify exactly what ports my USB Type-C port can "see" when the 'HyperDrive GEN2' hub is connected to it... But I'm not exactly sure how to do that.
Any help or advice would be appreciated though.
Note any particular steps to reproduce it below here
Connected the hub to my computer using USB Type-C.

Maybe the HDMI ports are some sort of USB displaylink thingy? That doesn't, or at least didn't use to work in Linux.
I'm not sure what you mean by this, but is there some way I can check this?
