Hi

Pangea Software decided to release some games as the open source projects, and they are available for Linux:

Interestingly, Pangea Software was founded in 1987:

Oh man, I remember these guys from back when I was a Mac user (whilst waiting for Linux laptop support to mature) in the early 2000s, so this is really cool to see. Thanks for the heads-up!

I know that Apple was selling computers with some games for Mac.

Did you get a CD with games, or were they only installed on Mac OS/Mac OS X?

Did you get a key for these games?

Bugdom seems fun. (I've only played the first level.)

Almost a shame these ports are too modern to run on Dianoga.

I'm afraid I don't know - in the UK, at least at my regional authorised reseller (this being long before Apple Stores existed), they weren't bundling them by the time of the iBook G4, unfortunately!

That said, what you got at that time was all on CDs, so I assume that this also applied to the earlier bundles, too.

Well, that are classic games only for Mac users.

Linux users should treat them as new games.

And for the “I'll wait for an AppImage” people: too late.

Thanks for the answer.

I think we still only have authorized Apple resellers in Poland.

Maybe, users from the U.S. remember it.
Apple treat games seriously in the past, which is quite interesting.

Yeah, they did - I guess it changed after Microsoft bought Bungie in order to prevent Halo from becoming the Mac-exclusive killer-app that it was originally shaping up to be! (I'm showing my age there, aren't I? )
