The native Linux Star Fox-like rail-shooter game, [Ex-Zodiac](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1249480/ExZodiac/), which is currently in Early Access, got its first major update yesterday, adding two new stages, and an optional new soundtrack. It's also discounted from £7.99 to £5.99 until May 15th.
I'm typically not the sort to buy into Early Access games, but this one really is THAT good; I've thoroughly enjoyed every bit that I've played so far, and even if it never progresses any further I'm happy to have experienced it - it's exactly what I wanted.
If you enjoyed the old SNES Star Fox titles in particular, you'll probably love this one. That series has long since been abandoned by Nintendo, and of all of the spiritual-successor type games that I've tried, Ex-Zodiac remains by far my favourite of them, since it manages to be its own thing as well, and the devs clearly know what makes a rail-shooter like this tick.
