[Tito](http://www.twitter.com/machonachomedia) from [Macho Nacho Productions](http://www.youtube.com/c/MachoNachoProductions) posted about the [DeckHD screen replacement kit](http://www.retrorgb.com/the-steam-deck-gets-a-screen-upgrade-deckhd.html) upgrade for the Steam Deck on [RetroRGB](http://www.retrorgb.com/). It costs $99 USD and is available for [pre-order](http://www.deckhd.com/) now.

The DeckHD screen replacement kit gives the Steam Deck an upgraded display that is capable of resolutions up to 1200p. As you may or may not know, the native resolution of the Steam Deck is 800p. Additionally, the kit provides increased color accuracy of 87% sRGB coverage verses the stock coverage of 67%.

It seems like a nice upgrade apparently. But there's a battery life and performance hit running things at 1200p vs 800p as shown in benchmarks in the [video](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4ct6K5I744). What do you folks think?
