I did figure out it was uBlock which did that, but so far my solution was to disable it entirely on the website (which of course had certain downsides :grin:).
But turning off only the cosmetic filters did the trick without downsides.

I guess its generally better effectiveness comes at the cost of a bunch of false positives.
