The major difference between the Chromebooks is that these Googlebooks run a Android-based system as opposed to the ChromeOS used by the Chromebooks, that is based on the Gentoo Linux distribution.
What are your thoughts on this announcement? For me I think that they will have a locked-down software, especially with the upcoming developer verification requeriment (given that they will run Android apps).
Their android will be just as locked down.
They're hoping to capitalize on their gridlock on the education market and I fear it will work.
