Now that 2025 is done and finished with, we can see what the most popular games were overall on Steam, and for Steam Deck the list is no big surprise at all.

Valve released a special page for 2025 to give you an overall view of things. From that we can see overall on PC the top games based on playtime which Valve tracked as the "Most played games measured by unique players over the calendar year" were (in no particular order):

For the Steam Deck, we actually can get the proper order since Valve have an always up to date dedicated page to show off the playtime stats across different games on the Steam Deck. Going from Jan 3, 2025 - Jan 2, 2026 the most-played games on Steam Deck for the whole year were:
