So, I played... Black Mesa

Quoting: Mountain ManMy method for dealing with the ninjas in the original is to plant laser mines around the level and then hide until they blow themselves up. This works surprisingly well.
One word; snarks. ;-)
Do you have snarks by that point in the hands game? I can't remember.

When I read "loaderMagic" I had to think on "shit, we don't know what we're doing there anymore, let's call it magic" :D.

I'm afraid you are not! I almost never buy any early access titles. For some good reason: I would like to play a ready made game and not a buggy one. Being bored by a game when it reaches the real final release is not a thing I so prefer.

If a game is in a really good condition but is still being maintained I'm happy to play it! I don't mind new content as well as occasional bug fixes as long as the game is in a pretty good shape. (:

Another reason to support Feral. This makes me want to buy games that I won't even play coz these dudes improve the drivers that would make all games play better!

Quoting: cprnHonestly, I'm not disappointed at all. Learned that Windows developers are untruthful bitches long time ago. It's not even their fault, really... They just lack knowledge, skill and consistency. Period.

. period. is presumably longhand for an ellipsis?

Not really. If English isn't your first language, then the best explanation I can think of is that the word "Period" as a one-word sentence is to emphasise the utter finality of the previous sentence. It's emphasising that this discussion is over. Nothing more to say.

Like if you do something awesome and exclaim, "Nothing can beat that. Period!"

Mad Max is currently 50% off on the Feral Store
By gehneo, 13 March 2017 at 9:16 pm UTC Likes: 1

I accidentially bought it a second time today on the Feral store (first time in Steam Winter Sale but didn't play it yet). So, whoever reads this comment and wants a Steam key for Mad Max – PM me and I'll send you the key. Though I am not 100% sure if the code still works after I tried to activate it and it failed because I already owned the game.

I have bought this game to support its development as well. I'm still waiting for Xen to play it in its totality. Hopefully it won't be long now.

Looking forward to some new Vulkan games. Hopefully they will use Vulkan for new ports of older games as well. Too bad amdgpu is not yet enabled by default for some of the older GPU generations.

Its a great game. My only complain is that The voice of the bad guys on the old version is better than on this version, more badass.

Black Ops are still there and they are as annoying as they were; quite fragile but seriously hard to hit due to absurd speed of running and jumping.

I bought black mesa to support it's development as I loved what I had heard and seen over the years. But I haven't actually played it. I was hoping they would have finished the Xen chapter by now.

Fuck these guys.
Oh! So it is coming to Linux and Mac after all! ( "PC" ) :P

But yeah, to hell with this publisher.

Quoting: tofuheadhmm, it's a shame, looked interesting. but all this talk about broken promises seems a bit odd, because doesn't it quite clearly state in the "promises" that they MAY do a linux/mac versions but are NOT making any promises yet.. ?

or am I reading it wrong? ... just wondering..

There is only one use of the word "Linux" on their crowdfunding page and that's the paragraph that Liam copied in this article. Where did you read anything else?

Never mind, I saw your reply now :P

Quoting: scaineThe worst part is - the whole point of going for Kickstarter, at least in its infancy, was so that the public becomes the publisher. So this is a double let down - to kickstart with campaign promises, then seek a publisher anyway is itself pretty abhorrent, but then to chose a publisher that forces you to break those campaign promises... well, Gloomywood have lost a potential customer here even if their future titles support us.
I disagree that using a publisher is necessarily always abhorrent. A successful crowdfunding campaign reduces a publisher's risk, which increases your leverage in getting what you want. You better be damn sure you'll maintain the freedom to fulfill your promises, though. Failing to do so is no different from promising Linux support, then using middleware that lacks Linux support.

Welcome to the new people though, hope you do stick around ;)

I was expecting this, to be fair. Has the spike been that big? I don't expect so, there weren't that many keys.
On the other hand, it might have decided some regulars (lurkers) to finally register on the site :)

Edit: just had a look at the newsfeed for this game on Steam, I must confess that this bit made me laugh:

QuoteWe've been very keen to translate the game into Chinese, but unfortunately, we can not find people who would help realize our desire. All our translations are done by activists, if you want to join them and help translate the game into Chinese, write to us, please - [email protected]
