Never liked Dota2, being a new player is just hard ...

Forced .. never really got around playing it, maybe I'll do a session in the living room soon since I have gotten my Steamlink (finally). But I'm currently a bit "locked up" with Talos Principle... such a cool game.

System Shock remake heads to Kickstarter, Linux is the first stretch-goal
By ZekThePenguin, 5 July 2016 at 2:25 pm UTC

I pretty much only buy/fund games that have a Linux version already running. (It's why I haven't bought Stardew Valley yet.) Wasn't always that way, but then there were devs that didn't follow through on their promised Linux support (the latest Gauntlet comes to mind), and that really has ruined it for everyone else.

It's crazy how much this looks like Starbound. Like someone took Starbound and added the dino-riding from Ark (and also what looks like morphing and pokeballs lol).

Of course not, but after having an immense amount of hours in it myself I am well informed on the Dota 2 community.

Quoting: tuubiWhich browser is that? Are you sure it's the browser and not a script blocker add-on of some sort? I just tried three popular browsers (all with an advert blocker of some sort) and everything works fine.
Vivaldi, the chrome-based opera successor. No 'obstacles' on my side - just their internal scripts deliver an error, and all I see is the 'page loading' animation image....

To get somewhat on-topic - just checked the sales page using firefox, but did not find anything for me - either not my type of game, or I already own it... :P

I played Dota 2 once and made the mistake of mentioning that I was a new player. This is apparently an unforgivable sin in the sight of some.

I'd prefer historical paradox games over Stellaris. Preferably HoI4 or EU4. I could join either, don't care to play CK2 that much.

For me it would be Stellaris, since I haven't gotten to grips with HOI yet as I just haven't had enough time to even complete the tutorial and wow the game is confusing.

I would like to see CK2 series with mods:

"Historical Immersion Project (HIP)" <- a must have IMO, offers so much more than the vanilla and it's so well made it makes you wonder why isn't it included in the original game

"A Game of Thrones" <- this one's based on the books not the show

"Elder Kings" <- Elder Scrolls mod

I would also like to see Stellaris since I'm really interested in that game.

Whoa, tough one. I don't know if there's rules you could implement to speed up things? Or maybe agree on playing only through a specific period?

The only one of those games I own is EUIV, which means I could only participate in that one. However don't count on it - I'm not a big fan of multiplayer in general. In fact, because I don't own any of the others, I'd like to see you go with one of them, might get me interested :)

Have you reached out to Paradox? They might have experience with livestreaming that can help you?

Im certainly ineterested in participating; though I only own Stellaris and my ability to play would be limited by times due to family comitments.

But once more people throw their oar in and a game is chosen I should know if I can join (If you want me :P)

Hmm, maybe I should have a look. Lately, Humble has been a quite bad address for DRM-free-Linux lovers - too much win-only and steam-only stuff in anything other than the HIBs....

Swiftpaw,
Legit argument against the bl dlcs. Personally I enjoy those games so much that I do the lower level dlcs on second playthrough or with a lower level character, but yeah if you're only going to play the game once I hear ya.

Wow... I haven't played action platformers since ... 2000? But this one looks great! It reminds me of classics like Duke Nukem II or Halloween Harry/Alien Carnage GFX and gameplay-wise. I'm definitely gonna buy it when it's released!

I really like the classic style graphics and effects, they were very well done. it reminded me of so many 2D side scrolling games from the late 80's and early 90's. I really liked the weapon selection there, pretty awesome "modern" aspect compared to retro. all these retro styled games with updated modern mechanics are great.
