Well heck! If it's already tested and working in Wine, why are they even wasting their time on a Linux port?

Hah well that clears it up a bit, if you are supporting that on your own game that's pretty awesome.

You wouldn't be cheating me. I made the game :). But if you're not interested in modding, yeah, buying the full version is better. There will be an update in the next week approximately with 10 new levels also.

You think it's fun to cheat an indie company providing Linux support?
No thanks.

Quoting: "trentgg, post: 2312"The cool thing about the Lite version running on a PC is, it will run any 20 levels, so if you knew how to create them (which is quite easy), you could mod the game and never need to buy the full version. Like I said there is still a 20 level limit and you'd need to figure out which characters give which objects in the plain text level files, but it could be fun.

Good question will be interesting to see.
Good to see another game have a demo or "lite version".

Just so people know, USC's minimum price is still 2.99 USD, so that's what this game will cost there when (if?) they accept it.

It looks very cool. I have to be honest though and say the no car game since the original need for speed hot pursuit many many moons ago (where you could add mod build, like the batmobile or the dukes of hazard car) really captured me, often its to realistic while I just am a crap driver and love to slide totally unrealisticly around a track :) That said hope there is a demo to get a feel for the game.

As i for one like to keep options open, even though i am a Ubuntu user i don't want to be locked down to Ubuntu so until USC is on other platforms i won't myself buy from it, but i won't steer people away from it either.
I just prefer Desura or Gameolith, buy once, multiple platforms, much more value for money to me.

Quoting: "Anonymous, post: 2268"Why? This is great solution for producers.

Quoting: "liamdawe, post: 2265"I still think buying from USC is a bad idea, being locked to a platform is not good. Still waiting on Desura.

They have improved their website a bit since I last saw it. And they have finally got some coverage on some none Linux *cough* *phoronix* *cough* or Russian gamer websites.

Granted, it is Rock, Paper, Shotgun so it is not hard to get mentioned there, but still a step in the right direction. :)

This works fine for the Desura version as well by the way! Although you have to go into windows to download the client and get the key. Desura for Linux can't come soon enough.
