The Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless mouse is a great reasonably priced pick

I've been using this mouse and its predecessors since I was 14. Can't remember the name of the first one but the left click died so I went to a G pro same shape just new look and sensor so no need to calibrate it then I spilled orange fanta on it and the left and right click got stuck, then got another one this time updated with the hero sensor. That one some how the rubber on the scroll wheel expanded and locked up the wheel still used it like that since I was still using windows so I could just middle click to scroll. I was very mad when they announced a wireless version of the G pro and it has an entirely different shape then the wired version but a bit later they released the G305 and I got one for my laptop for college. I lost the mouse so I got another some how lost the receiver to that one so I just have a mouse and receiver I can't pair together in my drawer. I don't remember when I got the G305 I use on my computer I still use my G Pro wired as a spare mouse and I at some point cut the rubber on the scroll wheel so I could use it. If Logitech ever stops making this mouse shape I'm screwed.
I have tried a Razer DeathAdder before I got my first G pro wired and hated the ever living shit out of it that shape and you had to have their software running on the computer to get full resolution of the sensor if not it had the worst resolution ever you could see it jumping pixels on a 1080p screen. So that turned away from ever thinking of Razer mice.

Anti-cheat will still be one of the biggest problems for the new Steam Machine

I'm always skeptical of the Apex Legends claim because the player base was dropping at the same time during that time like some of it was people leaving.
Talking point - what have you been playing lately?

I've been having to stop myself from playing more Stellar Blade I love the game too much and was playing it for like half the summer so I've been playing Clair Obscur and a bit of Final Fantasy VII Remake on my PS5 Pro. Over this year I've found out that I play my games more on my PS5 Pro, I think I just like to play games on my TV more then my Computer monitor.
On my computer I've been playing Borderlands 4 with my friends. I really like the movement in the game, but the game likes to not register bullet hits so you can wasted an entire magazine into someone and nothing happens, and some gun manufactures just feel awful now mainly Maliwan. I've been trying to get my friends to play Monster Hunter Wilds again since the Final Fantasy cross over is here and everyone wants to do it but they just keep pushing back when we play. Started playing Smite 2 with my one friend some more after like 1 month or 2 of not playing do to lack of god variety for me but Eset being added to the game makes me want to play again having something new since the last new/ported god I play came out 8 months ago.
Back to the PS5 Clair Obscur is really fun I love the combat every fight feels like you always have a shot no matter how hard it is as long as you can keep up. Tho that does make me play the game a bit less then I like because of how much I have to focus to win fights. The music is really good. My friend hates that (Story Spoiler) One fight took me 2 hours because I had to keep up perfect parries for 10 or more minutes for each attempt. According to PlayStation I'm about 57% done so still have a bit to go, looking forward to see what will happen. I've only played 2 hours of Final Fantasy VII Remake but I'm liking. It being an Unreal Engine 4 Game feel similar to Stellar Blade to me in terms of how the character looks makes the game feel familiar/safe to me. Don't really have anything else to say about it yet, just that I guess it show my addiction to Stellar Blade.
I just want to talk about Stellar Blade now. I don't exactly know why I'm so addicted to it. Its the first game I've done a new game+, I've almost 100% the game something I haven't done since I was like 12, I have over 150 Hours in it and I want to keep playing more even tho its pretty linear. I love all the characters, Eve gaining confidence though out the story, D1G-g2r is so cute love how he wants to find out why he has sentience. The Sound track is so good I would just sit and listen to it at camp or running around the desert and wastelands. The space elevator section has such a grand feel climbing all the way into space with the music backing up that feeling perfectly. Hyper tubes are really fun to surf down wish there were more of them. The Nikke DLC stages are really fun wish there was more then 5, makes me want to play Nikke just to get more like it but then I remember its a mobile game and don't want to deal with mobile game mechanics. Uh I wish I was good at writing I'm missing so much stuff but can't figure out how to write it down.

I'm annoyed on behalf of my friend since she has a RX 6700 XT. I picked out the parts at the beginning of 2023 because her now husband wanted to surprise her with a new computer. We went with it because it was the same price as the 3060 12gb at the time. She has no need for an upgrade as the main games she plays e-sports games, games like peak and R.E.P.O, and alot of FFXIV. Tho she hates updating drivers so she probably wouldn't mind too much.
I used to not recommend AMD cards to my friends do to not liking the Vega windows drivers when I was on windows, do to bugs I had and the terrible OpenGL performance since we played a lot of Minecraft back then and it would prevent us from playing games on Citra together.
I started recommending AMD cards again (if they where just gaming) starting with her computer because AMD resolved those issues. But now I question it since me and my friends don't upgrade computer that often and we don't all have a lot of money. We just upgraded half our GPUs from basically high school this year RX 580 4gb --> 2080ti(Does Video editing and 3D modeling), 1660 ti --> 5070 ti(just wanted to stay on Nvidia), Vega 56 --> RX 7700 XT(Me). I just recommended a RX 9070 to a friend since they want to upgrade their whole computer from high school (it can't update to windows 11 and they can't use Linux) we build for $500 with a RX 570 4gb and want it to last some time but now I question how long that card will get updates and if I should tell them to change it to a 5070 since they are still saving up for it.

@chickenb00
Its been effectively no issues on the Linux side their is a KDE bug where sometimes when switching from tablet to laptop mode the cursor doesn't come back and requires a reset. That may have been fixed in this update as I can't trigger it anymore. I have scaling set to 125% and have had only one program not play nice with the scaling (fuzzy text and large curser). No other issues I can think of with the software.
As for the laptop itself I have the i5-1334U version and I got separately 48gb of Crucial ram first boot took some time and scared me. The laptop is loud so I almost always have it in powersave mode because of this. I wish the battery life was a bit longer tho I've not tried it out and about as I've been stuck at home so maybe when I go back to school or work it will be fine. I don't think this is a framework/linux issues as other laptop I've used on windows or linux the microphone can't be set to more then 30-40% volume or it will always be static. Those are my only complaints really compared to my last laptop I had since 2018 the screen is much better on the framework and way more repairable. All the expansion cards I've got have no issue Ethernet, SD card, and HDMI just work.
Everyone I've shown my laptop to really likes it. My dad loves how repairable it is as me and him used to run a computer repair store. My mom likes it since it reduces waist and the need to get a whole new laptop. My sister is jealous that I have a pink/blue laptop. And my uncle/god father who works on cars in his free time loves it for how repairable and modular it is.

Been using Bazzite on my Framework 12 since I've got it and it has cause no issues just a little weird to get a VPN on it.
I've also installed it on a old office PC my aunt got rid of since it couldn't update to windows 11 so I made a living room PC. Had some spare Graphics cards and power supplies from me and my friends upgrading. Started with a RX 580 4GB but the case would trap hot air in the bottom so I switch to my Vega 56 just now which has a flow though cooler and it doesn't trap the air. Only issue is that HDR colors in game mode are wrong but the living room TV doesn't have HDR so thats not an issue.
I'm surprised at how well Sandy Bridge holds up the i5-2320 gets 60fps or close to it in alot of games. Stellar blade 50-60 fps Digimon Story Time Stranger 60 fps Monster hunter Rise 50-60fps Scarlet nexus 60-100 fps. Also the LADV CPU scheduler helps a lot on this CPU.

This could be useful as I have a second computer I use for console mod stuff among other things but some of the stuff I do with consoles is either easier with the Windows tools or are not on Linux (Fatxplorer being one of them). Tho I have learned you need Linux to install PS2 BBN Translation.
@d3Xt3r This was 3 years ago at this point since I've tried but Microsoft Train Simulator didn't work. I don't remember the entire issue at this point as I've forgotten. You can play the game by using Openrails though wine/proton but Openrail is just compatible with the game it's not one to one. I can't remember any other game that I've tried to run that I owned as a kid that doesn't work at all. Hotwheels Stunt Track challenge complains you have an incompatible GPU. I think it does that because it has a list of compatible cards it checks some how the steam run time fixes that.

Fixed long loading times in God Eater ResurrectionFinally God Eater is fixed I think this should fix God Eater 2 as well I think it had the same bug so they should be playable now. The long loads were 5-10 minutes maybe more for everything the game had to load every character option, every weapon, loading a level. Will finally be able to the game now because this game was first broken by the DRM then when they fixed the DRM issue this bug was their since 2019 I think.
