GOG now ask for donations when you buy games

I don't find any real issue with it. I don't mind throwing a few extra dollars their way, for the purpose of keeping the GOG Preservation Program alive. People don't typically work for free. I'd rather support their work, making my time easier and less of a hassle trying to get older games to work properly.

KDE Plasma will continue having an X11 session, as Kubuntu switches to Wayland by default

I couldn't imagine going back to X11. With Multimonitor setup and how smooth it is, I tried X11 a while back and just couldn't coem to grips with the sluggishness of dragging a window across my desktop.

Fedora Linux devs discuss dropping 32-bit packages - potentially bad news for Steam gamers

The last 32bit Linux I used was maybe Peppermint OS or maybe PCLinuxOS. If Fedora drops 32bit support, and we don't run Steam in a container, I am assuming, even if Steam itself was upgraded to 64bt, many games like the early Call of Duty games, will not work anymore? I know that Call of Duty on Mac worked for a long time on OSX Snow Leopard and when Apple dropped 32bt support, that game wont' run at all. Is that the type of situation we are running into now but with Linux?

KDE has definitely grown on me over the years. I typically avoided it because it was always so slow on my laptops. But I had slow laptops to begin with. When it comes to my gaming laptop, I go with Gnome but on my Desktops, Gaming rig, It's KDE or Cinnamon. I love it and really appreciate how far KDE has come.

I am excited about this! When I am done torturing myself with my hardcore play through of Divinity Original Sin (Still stuck on the very first fight, haha) I can move to this and revisit it! I like Obsidian games.

Mesa 24.3.1 open source Linux graphics drivers released

Curious if this will fix the graphical issues with The Asus Tuf Gaming A16 (FA617-NT) Advantage Edition. It has a Mux switch for an AMD 780 iGPU and RX 7700 dGPU. Whenever the iGpu is in use, you get weird flickering in every linux distro I've tried. (Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora 42 and even OpenSuse)

Fedora 41 is out now with plenty of enhancements like easier NVIDIA driver installs

I want to use Fedora 41 so much but I can't seem to get it to work on my AMD laptop with Mux Switch. the iGPU is AMD and the dGPU is an RADEON 7700S.
