Curious if this will fix the graphical issues with The Asus Tuf Gaming A16 (FA617-NT) Advantage Edition. It has a Mux switch for an AMD 780 iGPU and RX 7700 dGPU. Whenever the iGpu is in use, you get weird flickering in every linux distro I've tried. (Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora 42 and even OpenSuse)
Fedora 41 is out now with plenty of enhancements like easier NVIDIA driver installs

I want to use Fedora 41 so much but I can't seem to get it to work on my AMD laptop with Mux Switch. the iGPU is AMD and the dGPU is an RADEON 7700S.

EA being EA again...
If it weren't for me being so invested into the Sims, I would've ditched EA a long time ago. Same for Ubisoft...but damn I'm a big Splinter Cell fan...

I'm ready. If this works out right, might just dump the Windows dual boot setup.

Honest Question: Why would you not use anything other than the Proton Experimental? Is there any real world use case that I would want to use the stable or and older proton version vs the up to date Experimental?

Quoting: KlaasI've literally been downvoted on reddit by people defending Xbox saying Ads on the Xbox Dashboard are okay, normal and I just need to get with the times...Quoting: Theodispeople will just start defending it because that's just how it normally is.I've seen it so many times, but I'm still baffled whenever someone militantly defends something scummy done by a really big corporation.

Quoting: KlaasOkay…This is a very possible reality, sadly. I would love for PlayStation to be required to explain why an account is required outside of "Just because" and if it is required for other reasons, they should be required to demonstrate why it is required. It sounds to me like they just want to superficially inflate their "Total PlayStation User count."
I've been hoping this for launchers, extra accounts, DRM, microtransactions, etc. But unfortunately it seems like if they can push it long enough for a generation to have not known better, people will just start defending it because that's just how it normally is.

Whats crazy is Doom 3 BFG is still broken on Steam for me on Windows 11 (Yes I still use a Windows Partition for some games) Amazing how Wine...fixes things that Windows should already have working out the door.

I want to try the 560 driver so badly but I can't seem to get it to install correctly. the ubuntu ppa for it has a bug that doesn't show anything past 545. Tried to manually install the driver 560 from nvdia but even that keeps complaining about X window still being open. I've tried to nomodeset but everytime it gets ignored for some reason.

So is it safe to stay with NVidia at this point or should I still consider buying an AMD card if I upgrade from the RTX 3070?
