@Eike I have achieved what you requested. I play with my son this way on one TV.

You need 2 minecraft accounts, and I use MultiMC to set everything up.

I use the MidnightControls mod to use 2 controllers.

It works by one player opening up a LAN game, and the 2nd player connects to that.

I use a custom scripts to remove window decorations, and align the windows correctly.

Basically everything runs off a custom .desktop file, that runs my script which then calls MultiMC twice on the command line.

If you'd like more details I can send you more info

People can whine about Snaps (yes I'm not a huge fan of them but there are far worse things) but this is overall a very good thing. I hope they find someone talented who can make a difference.

PipeWire is the future for Linux audio and I am sold on it

For anyone using multichannel 5.1 or 7.1 HDMI audio like I do, Pipewire is useless. Multi-channel surround audio is awesome, and much nicer than using headphones.
I have a 7.1 surround system that's driven by an audio receiver. Pipewire fails to deliver multi-channel audio through Proton games (I believe native should work), and given that most Linux games are being run through Proton this is a deal-breaker.

The gitlab issue is here:

EDIT: It appears a solution may have been found at the end of the thread.

KDE Plasma 5.24 is out now and what a beauty it is

Quoting: KimyrielleI didn't really look at KDE in years (I always thought that if I'd want an UI that looks and feels like Windows, I could always use Windows), but I am casually in the market for a new DE, as GNOME hasn't made me too happy in the last years, either. Maybe it's time for another look, I dunno?
I am in the exact same position. I really don't like how KDE reminds me of Windows, but with that new overview, and some theme and icons changes, I think I could be swayed.

I wonder if the controller stuff is inspired by the Steam Deck too ;)
In any case this will be a great little game to play on it.

Quoting: SirBubblesBased on my very old experience with what passes for NWN's single player, is it still even worth it? I thought everyone did NWN for the mods or expansion packs. Hordes of the Underdark was pretty decent, if I recall.
I do hope it stands the test of time. I've been waiting for quite a while to try it out.

Also, I need something to take my mind of disease, pandemics, quarantine and lockdowns. I'm sure this will be just the thing for that!
Sorry to disappoint you, but the main campaign of NWN is about a pandemic - a disease outbreak :D

I had a wizard I played all the way from 1st to 14th.. Then got sort of stuck... and then of course lost my save game so I have to start over on the main campaign... At least now I think they have cloud saves!

I must be weird, I liked the original campaign qnd thought it was decent. Hordes of the Underdark I belive was the sequel to it, qnd you had to start at a higher level.

What is a crying shame is that Legends of the Swordcoast (i think that was the name of that game) was so far from being a proper replacement for NWN.
The main campaign definitely isn't as good, both the original DLC were much , much better.
Still, I'm thinking of doing a main playthrough as I never finished it.
