Quoting: InverseTelecineSo... will this be on Linux? I'm assuming that since we're talking about it, it at least hopefully will be. Has it been officially confirmed or anything?

I literally ctrl-f'ed this article and comments looking for "linux." :)

Quoting: ExpalphalogI've honestly never cared about the license, but Harebrained Schemes have earned a certain level of loyalty from me and my ears always perk up at the words "turn-based" strategy, so I'll be keeping an eye on this.
All I can say is that they did a fantastic, very faithful job of recreating the Shadowrun universe, so they have earned themselves lots of credibility...and are likely to do the same with the Battletech world. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

openFrameworks C++ toolkit now has a Vulkan backend that supports Linux

I use OpenFrameworks all the time for my work...however the Vulkan stuff is very premature. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Nightdive Studios aren't sure when the Linux version of the System Shock remake will be available

Yep. This sounds suspect. A couple of years ago I would have backed this one, now I'm just laughing at their hollow promises!

An interview with Eagre Games about their new game, ZED
13 Jun 2016 at 3:33 pm UTC

Fantastic interview.

"I firmly believe that if you're going to target multiple platforms you need to do it from the start."
This was music to my ears. Finally someone gets it!!

These guys sound amazing...look forward to the release.

Looks like Epic is starting to live up to its promise of making Linux a first class citizen when it comes to UE4!

Clockwork Empires developer reaffirms Linux support will come one day

I die a little on the inside when I hear devs refer to application binaries as EXE's...

Still, looking forward to this, remember reading about it a while back.

I think cross-platform development is pretty foreign to a lot of developers, because really they could automate Linux builds if they were smart (they might not work, but it would help x-platform developing immensely and identify issues early)
